Leslie McKinney, MD

Dr. Leslie McKinney is a board-certified physician who has been with Accent Urgent Care since 2000, where she is the medical director. Previous work experience includes Cardinal Health Care Urgent Care and WakeMed Health & Hospitals Emergency Department. She also has served on numerous trauma and quality assurance committees, and has held lab and clinical teaching positions.

She received her medical degree from the University of North Carolina School of Medicine in Chapel Hill, and completed her residency at East Carolina University School of Medicine, Pitt County Memorial Hospital in Greenville, NC. She also has a bachelor's degree in zoology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

She is a fellow of the American Board of Emergency Medicine, and member of the American College of Emergency Physicians and the North Carolina American College of Emergency Physicians. She is certified in Advanced Cardiac Life Support and Pediatric Advanced Life Support and Neonatal Advanced Life Support.
