Delouis Terlonge Jr., MD

Dr. Delouis Terlonge, Jr., is a board-certified physician specializing in pediatrics. He is a staff physician at Henderson Pediatric Center in Henderson, Granville Pediatric Center in Oxford, Butner-Creedmor Pediatric Center in Creedmor and CA Dillon Youth Development Center in Butner. He has extensive experience in caesarian section and complicated deliveries, emergency resuscitation and intensive care management.

His previous experience includes serving as pediatric and pediatric HIV specialist and then medical director for the Baylor College of Medicine-Bristol Myers Squibb Children's Clinical Centre of Excellence in Swaziland, Africa. He also was a pediatric specialist at the Mbabane Government Hospital in Mbabane, Swaziland, and at the Mnlago Hospital in Kampala, Uganda. He also has extensive teaching and consulting experience overseas, including serving in 2007 as a member and rapporteur for the Inter-Agency Task Team, a joint review mission commissioned by the Government of Swaziland and the United Nations.

He earned his medical degree at Baylor College of Medicine, Houston, and Bachelor of Science in biomedical engineering at Harvard University. He completed his internship and residency in pediatrics, including two years of upper level practical training, at Jackson Memorial Hospital at the University of Miami. He also was an instructor of pediatrics at Baylor College of Medicine for four years.

He is certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and also in Pediatric Advanced Life Support. He is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics and American Medical Association.
