Cynthia Madden, MD, MPH

Dr. Cynthia Madden is a board-certified physician in emergency medicine who is an attending physician in the Duke Health Raleigh Hospital Emergency Department. She previously has worked in the emergency departments of Franklin Regional Medical Center Emergency, WakeMed Health & Hospitals and the University of North Carolina.

She received her medical degree from the University of Kentucky College of Medicine, and completed her residency in preventive medicine at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She also completed a Robert Wood Johnson Clinical Scholar Fellowship, holds a Master of Public Health and has been a post-doctoral fellow in health services research and policy analysis, all from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree at Morehead State University.

She is certified in Advanced Cardiac Life Support and Pediatric Advanced Life Support.
