Brian Thomas Klausner, MD

Dr. Brian Klausner is board-certified in internal medicine, and joins City Center Medical Group after working as the attending physician for the Boston Health Care for the Homeless Program, a nonprofit organization associated with Boston Medical Center and Massachusetts General Hospital. 

He provided health care for patients in a number of clinical settings including shelter clinics, an academic hospital outpatient clinic and a respite care facility, and served as the medical director of the organization's main academic outpatient clinic.

Dr. Klausner received his medical degree from Georgetown University School of Medicine, and completed his residency in internal medicine at University of Chicago Hospitals.

He was chief resident of the internal medicine program at MacNeal Hospital, a community hospital associated with University of Chicago and Loyola University. He also earned a Bachelor of Science in biological sciences at the University of Notre Dame.

He brings to City Center Medical Group extensive experience in internal medicine. His honors and awards include the Golden Apple Teaching Award from MacNeal Hospital and the National Health Service Corp, awarded to medical students interested in a career in primary care.

Dr. Klausner is the organizer and co-founder of the Georgetown IronMed Triathlon, which he and fellow classmates started as a fundraiser.

Since it began in 2001, the Olympic-distance triathlon has raised over $100,000 for various charities, including the Georgetown Lombardi Pediatric Oncology/Hematology Special Events Fund and Hoya Clinic, a student operated homeless clinic.
